Hey people!! How are you doing?? I'm fine, and watching and reading several things. I still can't get my copy of City of Ashes. I just hope that my parents take me to buy books soon. =) Also, that I've been watching several japanese things. Now, onto my fangirling.

The two of us are a single Kamen Rider <3
Now, count up your sins. =)
Kamen Rider W: I love it already!! I'm on episode 25, and it's pretty funny!! I don't know how everybody can hate Akiko. I mean, she can be annoying, but she is so caring and funny!! And I know that she and Ryuu get married at the end. Yeah, War Movies and Tumblr can be a great source of spoilers. =)

Akiko Narumi with her slipper... classic =)

Talking about Tumblr and spoilers, there's incest on Kamen Rider W, just like in City of Bones!!! Yeah, I know you're asking 'What the heck are you talking about?'.

Well, I was watching episodes 13 and 14 of Kamen Rider W, and discovered that Wakana and Phillip might've started to fall for each other, since they both started to space out since the Mr. Question incident. And in the episode, when Phillip starts blabbing or how wonderful Wakan is and that he hasn't felt anything similar to it before.

By the end of this episode, Phillip is just thinking in Wakana and vice versa. Maybe it's love?? <3 <3

Then in the Jimmy incident, when Wakana was watching the TV, she was fangirling when she realized she saw Phillip, since he didn't want her to see him during the Mr. Question incident.

Don't worry. Phillip didn't look like that when Wakana saw him on TV. =)
But he's still adorable. <3

Then, in Tumblr, I was looking for Kamen Rider W related fanfics, and I found a picture, where Wakana asked Phillip to leave Fuuto with her, but then I found another where someone said to Phillip his real name: Raito Sonozaki. And Wakana is Wakana Sonozaki, and Wakana told Phillip that she had a younger brother that was not with her anymore. Join the puzzle people!!

This is so romantic.... and somehow morally wrong, and so City of Bones-ish.

I already did, and Kamen Rider W copied City of Bones!! (well, that depends on what came first) ;) I mean, that's just my point of view, but I asked my mom, and she thought Phillip and Wakana were in love. <3

Tokusatsu shows: sinking ships since Boukenger. =)
But they do look alike a bit....

Also, I'm interested on the apparent Shoutarou, Ryuu and Akiko love triangle. Again, I know she ends up with Ryuu, but this is going to get interesting, especially after the cop (whose name I think was Jin or something) tells Shoutarou that he is jealous that Akiko is looking to Ryuu for moral support instead of him (Shoutarou)

Shotarou's and Ryuu's mutual hate is hilarious, even if it's not Akiko related. =)

In shorter phrases, the show is great: I love Ryuu and Akiko, Phillip is adorable, the villains are good, Wakana is a good singer, Watcherman, Santa-chan, Queen and Elizabeth are all hilarious, and even though I love Shotarou, he is half-boiled. =) Sorry, Shou-chan. ;)

Really Shou-chan? You want to be hard-boild with that expression? You know everyone loves your half-boiled you. xD
So, another thing to fangirl is Kyoryuger!! I was going to fangirl about Dairanger too, but I have to make homework, so I'll make this quick. I love Utchy already!! He was so cute while in the swings with Amy. Also, I haven't watched episode 12 yet, because it's nowhere to be found!! I really want to see Daigo and Utchy bonding. Is it weird that I love Kamen Rider W and Kyoryuger the same because they both have the same writer?? Nah!!! xD They're both awesome!!!

So that's it!! I'll try to blog more often, but I have things to do, so yeah. =)
Well, bye bye and happy day!!

City of Power Rangers

Hey people!! How's your life? I'm fine, studying for an exam, which is so easy I stopped studying. I'm also listening to the 37 Super Sentai openings. Right now, I'm listening to GoogleV. Yeah, I like them all. Now, I'm gonna discuss two things: City of Bones, and the History of Power Rangers. (Yeah, for those who thought I only watched toku shows, I'm also a bookworm)

***start spoiler alert for City of Bones, read at your own risk or skip to the Power Rangers part if you're interested***

Now, City of Bones was one of the best books I've ever read. My friends spoiled me the ending (Clary and Jace are siblings) but I didn't know why they were making such a fuss. I remember that Dorothea said Jace would fall in love with the wrong person, and he fell in love with Clary, who turned out to be his sister. So, if they are truly brother and sister, I'm starting to read incest, because there's no way I'm stopping to read this series. It's really cool: it's got werewolves, vampires (even though they lost my respect after Twilight), zombies, angels, demons, and more cool stuff.

Something that I kinda knew, but never truly expected was the relation between Clary's mother, Valentine, Luke and some other people. If you take the pregnancy and the marriage out, it mirrors Clary's story with Jace, Simon and some other people as well. Just look at it. Jocelyn had a best friend, Luke, who was in love with her. Jocelyn loved another person, and Luke had to cope with it. Clary had a best friend, Simon, who was also in love with her, but Clary was in love with Jace. The only difference was that Simon did tell Clary he's been in love with her for 10 years.

We also have the Lightwoods, Jace's adoptive family and best friends. We have Alec, whom I didn't like at first because he was very mean to Clary, but then I discovered that it was jealousy because Alec is in love with Jace (yeah, he's gay, got a problem?) and I started to understand him, since it was unrequited love, but I know he'll find love someday, with his parents' approval and all that. Now, I like Alec a little bit more. As for Isabelle, she was cold, not only to Clary, but to Simon as well. Well, at least that's the impresion it gave me. Then, Simon said he used Isabelle to get Clary jealous. Don't worry, if things go well, Simon and Isabelle will end up together. At least I hope. Please no spoilers!! ;)

Overall, this was an amazing book, and I hope I can get to read City of Ashes soon. Until I get it, I'll keep on reading Harry Potter, but I really want to see how Jace and Clary act around each other now. ;)

***end of spoilers*** =) Now for the History of Power Rangers part.

I found Linkara's version of History of Power Rangers. While this web series is actually a review of all the Power Rangers seasons, their stories, and importance of the characters and cool things in the plot, there's another version in Spanish called 'La historia de los Power Rangers' (duh!!) that actually covers production, filming and involves Super Sentai a little bit more. If you know Spanish, I highly recomend you to watch it. It covers from Mighty Morphin to RPM, since the last part was out by the time RPM was airing its lasts episodes.

Anyway, I as was watching it, Linkara was saying some things that I wanted to get out of my chest, and that's what I'm going to do now.

I started to watch Power Rangers with Wild Force, when I was 8 years old, so literally, I've known the Power Rangers for half of my life, since I turned 16 a month ago. I was watching it along with Ninja Storm and Dino Thunder and instanly loved it. Then, SPD premiered, but I changed houses, so I couldn't watch it, or the series afterwards. I remember wanting to watch Operation Overdrive very badly, since it premiered 2 days after my 10th birthday. I watched SPD and Mystic Force in an open channel in my country. But I couldn't watch anything afterwards, because I entered middle school, and I was in very early and out very late, so no Power Rangers for me. I discovered Super Sentai while Gokaiger was airing, thanks to Samurai, Kaoru and Lauren, since I was excited for a female red ranger, and I discovered why people hated Power Rangers.

Power Rangers is based on a japanese show named Super Sentai. I discovered slowly, so it didn't crush my childhood, but I told one of my friends, and he was a little surprised. People seemed to prefer Super Sentai over Power Rangers, and I don't truly understand why. If not for Power Rangers, nobody would have known Super Sentai. At least anyone born in the late 80's or 90's. I was born in 1997, the same year Turbo aired, so no, I didn't watch the Zordon era, and even though people say that you need to watch it to truly be a Power Rangers fan, I think that's stupid, since it's out of my hands. As much as I want to watch the Zordon era, it's not complete on the internet. The episodes are all mixed up, and out of order. I know who the originals were, I watched some random episodes, the movie, and I know who Tommy Oliver, Jason Lee Scott and Kimberly Ann Hart are, so I'm a true and proud Power Ranger fan, thank you very much.

For several years, Mystic Force and Wild Force have been my favorite seasons, and even though their post is now being shared with RPM, I don't know why it gets so much hate. Is it for the theme songs? I like them. Not love them, but I remember them from when I was little.

I hate when people compare a season to its Sentai conterpart. Super Sentai is Super Sentai and Power Rangers is Power Rangers. It's not the same. Same suits, same arsenal, same zords, and sometimes same villain footage, but overall, it's not the same!! Maybe Samurai was a lot like Shinkenger, but it had its differences. For example: Takeru and Kaoru were strangers, Jayden and Lauren were siblings. Chiaki at the end goes to college, Mike goes with Emily back to the farm. Ryuunosuke was a kabuki actor, Kevin a swimmer. Mako has her parents, Mia has her brother. Genta's a sushi seller, Antonio's a fisher who likes to cook it, and sells it for a living. See? Differences people!!

Maybe that's why I liked Go-Onger and RPM so much. No matter how much you want to compare them, it's practically impossible to do so, because Go-Onger is comedy and RPM is drama. They're both balanced and good shows, but RPM has a darker edge, while Go-Onger is cute and funny. Some people hate Go-Onger for this, but that's not a valid reason. I mean, I know not everyone has to like Go-Onger or RPM, but people's arguments make no sense to me.

As for Boukenger and Operation Overdrive. I know it wasn't the best season, and people have the right to dislike it. I have some respect for the season because it wasn't an exact copy of Boukengers and I mean the characters, especially Natsuki and Ronny. People complain about how Natsuki is cute and sweet while Ronny is competitive and all that. Nasuki is not Ronny!!

People hate it when it's alike but also when it's different. I made two Power Rangers vs Super Sentai shows, but it's just to highlight differences and similarities, not to complain.

Seriously, I don't understand humanity. Bye bye.
Ps. Now I'm listening to the Dairanger theme song. And I know I will be really hated for this blog. I just know it.
Pps. I dropped Kamen Rider Black, and now I'm watching both Dairanger and Kamen Rider W. And if this blog has no photos, that's because I want you to read everything!! Also, sorry if you're offended.
Ppps. something you people may have forgotten already: I'm a girl!! A 16 year old girl!!!

Go-Onger vs RPM =)

Hey people!! And welcome to the first of my Power Rangers vs Super Sentai blog!!
Now I just want to clarify, this blog is not meant to be on either Power Rangers' side or Super Sentai's. This blog, is only meant to point out the differences to both series and give my opinion about them. Although some people will hate me for my opinions. The territories I'll count on this blog will be: story, heroes, villains, mentors, allies, pairings, episodes in general and music. This will be rather long, so you better get comfy. =)

Story: RPM vs Go-Onger
In RPM, we see a world destroyed by Venjx, a computer virus, forcing all the human race to live in a dome city named Corinth. On the other hand, in Go-Onger, we see talking vehicles who try to stop an evil organization called Gaiark from destroying the Human World. Both stories seem so different, but yet they're not that different. Both stories talk about contamination, and I think that RPM would be the version of the story of Go-Onger once the Gaiark contaminate Human World. What they truly differ is the way the heroes get their powers, and how they use them. Go-Onger would be a funny version of the story, while RPM is the futuristic and dark version. But you have to admit, both versions have a really good amount of drama and comedy.

Scott Truman vs Sosuke Esumi
Both Red Warriors, both the leaders, and both as stubborn as you can imagine, but they both have their differences. Scott is the serious leader, always thinking. He always needs a plan, and he's a little bit cocky (you have to admit they did exaggerate with the cockiness in Clash of the Red Rangers) Sosuke is serious, but at times, and he's pretty laid back and also very passionate or something. He's also very reckless and impulsive, doing everything without a plan. Also, Scott is a pilot while Sosuke is a racer. Also, Sosuke didn't lose his older brother like Scott lost Marcus.

Flynn McAllister vs Renn Kousaka
Both Blue Rangers and both smart, and now that I think of it, they're more alike that you can imagine. They're both like the mechanics of the team (Renn fixed the Engines one time) they both cook (I don't think making smoothies counts as cooking but at least is something to drink) but this is what they differ. Flynn is very compromised about his job as a Ranger, as he always wanted to save lives, thing that got him fired several times. While Renn, is very sensible and calm and I doubt he would get fired from any job.  I also don't perfectly remember if Renn was the one who drove the van, but if he did, that's another thing he has in common with Flynn, they both like to drive. =P

Summer Landsdown vs Saki Royama
Both Yellow Rangers, both sweet and very much different, if you see their back stories. Summer was a spoiled rich girl, who left that side of herself when Venjix attacked her home on her birthday party. She later saved Scott, and they became friends. Saki on the other side, was always cheerful and bright, especially after meeting that kid in the forest when she got lost. They're both the caring ones, although I couldn't imagine Summer saying 'smile, smile' all day. That phrase is Saki's and only Saki's!! The only thing that made Saki miserable was her older sister. They are both alike, both different in some aspects.

Ziggy Grover vs Hanto Jou
Both Green Rangers, both innocent and the ones that are most alike. They're both the funny ones in the team, although I would say that Hanto is more adorable and childish while Ziggy is the clumsy one. In Go-Onger, it is Hanto who gets several jobs and gets fired, or quits. Also, Hanto doesn't keep on blabbing all day. That's what Ziggy actually does. He rants about several things, like when Dr. K refused to call him by his name. They're also both after girls a lot. In Hanto`s case, this is pointed out when he gets a job to be with girls his age, or when he falls in love with a girl that's actually Kegareshia in disguise. In Ziggy's case, this can be seen in episode 10, when Flynn asks if it's necessary to yell "RPM, get in gear!" every time they morph and Ziggy says: "That's a good point, some of us are trying to impress chicks!" That's only one example of many.

Dillon vs Gunpei Ishihara
Both Black Rangers, both the serious ones, both close to the Green ones and I think that their similarities end there. Gunpei is the serious one in the team (at least the five core Go-Ongers) but he's funny. Although he believes himself to be better than the rest of the Go-Ongers, he later accepts them. Dillon's not like that. He's serious, but he's the bad guy of the group. I think it's just a side effect of his amnesia. Dillon get along only with Summer and Ziggy at first, later Flynn and much later, the twins, Dr. K and Scott. Dillon is also more sarcastic than Gunpei is, and his story is the most important of the plot: about finding his sister and all that.

Gem vs Hiroto Sutou
Both Gold Rangers, both smart, and both totally opposite! I can't believe that they actually have the nerve to compare Gem with Hiroto when a sister is practically everything they have in common. When I first saw Hiroto, I thought he was going to be some of those jerks who apparently have no heart, since he was so hard with the Go-Ongers at first. Also, he acted like the adult of the team, which was really annoying if you ask me. But eventually, he warmed up to them, and proved himself to be sweet and caring, although he still acted like an adult. Gem on the other hand, is a kid. He's a pyromaniac, since he loves explosions. He's happy most of the time, and he became friends with the other Rangers faster than Hiroto did. The only time I remember seeing him annoyed or angry was in the episode Not so Simple (I'll explain this later in the pairings section)

Gemma vs Miu Sutou
Both Silver Rangers, both sweet and again, total opposite! They compare these girls as well? Come on people!! They're nothing alike! Miu is a total princess. She grew up in the rich lifestyle, and she can be arrogant at times. She acted cool towards the Go-Ongers, but she warmed up to them faster than Hiroto did. She was like a spoiled rich teenager with a sprinkle of sweetness. On the other hand, Gemma's like a warrior, also a pyromaniac like Gem. She warmed up to the other Rangers quite quickly. She's like a little girl, but she's as clever as Dr.K, and more clever than Miu, you have to admit that.

Villains:
Gaiark vs Venjix and his robots
The Gaiark are only trying to contaminate the Human World to be able to live in it. They're also pretty funny, and they even paired up with the Go-Ongers in an episode. At the end (when Yogostein is dead) Kitaneidas and Kegareshia tell Sosuke, Renn and Saki what to destroy to save their friends. Venjix on the other side is nothing but cruelty. He destroyed the world, left Dillon with amnesia, turned his sister into his loyal assistant, forced the twins and several other people to work for him, and turned several habitants of Corinth into hybrids and activated them, including Dillon. Now there's an obvious difference there, although they're both potentially very cool villains.

Allies and Mentors
Dr. K vs Bomper (I know I'm missing a few, but I want to make this a comparison blog, not a book)
Dr. K is a brilliant teenage girl who created the suits, zords, and arsenal for the RPM Rangers after accidentally realeasing Venjix. Bomper is a cute little robot built by the Engine Jumbowhale. He helps the Go-Ongers and chooses Sosuke, Renn and Saki to be heroes after they enfrented the Gaiark, later choosing Gunpei and Hanto. Both have their similarities and their differences, for example, Dr. K is a robot, Bomper is a human. Dr. K has some relation to the villain (Venjix) and Bomper has not. Both of them are really close to their times. And so on, but as I mentioned, I don't want to write a book, and with what I wrote about the Rangers, I'll just make a summary of everything.

Pairings: (first I'll put the Go-Onger pairings and then the RPM. Warning: this are my favorite couples, so if you don't agree, don't read)

Go-Onger:
Sosuke&Miu:
In several episodes, it can be seen that they both harbored some feelings for each other, like when Saki told Miu that love will make her stronger, she instantly thought of Sosuke. Also, when Sosuke and Renn become bad boys or something, Sosuke gives Miu a ring. When Sosuke dies, Miu starts to cry a lot, while the others are either shocked or angry, and she was happy when he was revived. Also, when the other Rangers say that Miu is attracted to hopeless guys and everyone looks at Sosuke, he looks at them with a face that clearly says: 'what the heck are you talking about?'

Saki&Hanto
They're the youngest of the team, so I see this as a possible couple. It's just that they look so sweet separately they would look even cuter together. Also, Saki and Hanto were trapped in another dimension one time and Saki told Hanto that she wanted to open a cake shop. Also, they were trapped in Junk World before finding Ryunosuke in Shinkenger vs Go-Onger.

RPM:
Summer&Dillon
How is this even a question? They obviously like each other! I mean, they flirted several times (ex. "Don't ever drive my car, ever" "Don't fall asleep on the job, and I won't have to") They almost kissed twice!! But they had to be interrupted by the Whale Zord and the twins. They even went together to see the world (with Tenaya that is) and I could say so much more, but I really need to end up this blog now.

Ziggy&Dr. K
Something as obvious as the first one. Ziggy keeps on looking at Dr. K. He gets frustrated when she refuses to call him by his first name. Oh, come on, Ziggy dreamed once that he was in a date with Dr. K!  Dr. K once called Ziggy by his name in front of Gemma, and they were very close together in the last episodes. They were even trapped in a cave, and when they were suffocating, they were very close. If this doesn't cover it, I don't know what would. (note: if their actors are still dating in real life, that doesn't have anything to do... maybe)

Flynn&Gemma
Ok, who knew one of the most popular ships would start by these two kids building a zord? I mean, they worked together, but they had pretty much chemistry. Flynn even asked Gemma out, but she said no, although I think maybe that was because Gem was around (I haven't watched Not So Simple, but I've read so many things, and I watched some scenes, so yeah) And in Danger and Destiny, when the twins pushed the High Octane Megazord aside so they would recieve the attack instead of Summer and Flynn, Flynn said.'Gemma!' I mean, not even "Gem, Gemma!" like Summer. I think he also wanted to cry at that, but Summer did cry. Also, I'm pretty sure Scott wanted to cry, but that's another story.

In other words: pairings in RPM and Go-Onger are just like the Sutou siblings and the Happy Boom Twins: nothing alike!! =)

Music
Go-Onger
I liked the music in Go-Onger, and I try to learn the raps since they're so catchy. So far, I only managed to learn the G5 Prince and G3 Princess raps, and then I thought 'Why didn't the RPM Rangers sing this?' After watching some RPM songs, I can understand why, although I want to see Summer, Gemma, Tenaya and Dr. K singing the G3 Princess song.

RPM
The music in RPM was acceptable. I heard another version of the opening that I think would've been a better opening than the actual opening, but that's just my opinion. I really didn't like the RPM opening because of the lack of lyrics. What I did like however, was the background music. The song played in Not So Simple, when Flynn and Gemma are building the zord, I actually hear it some times in the radio. Also the song in Dillon's watch. I don't know why, but I love it.

Conclusion: both RPM and Go-Onger are really good series. RPM is a really cool and dark series, while Go-Onger is a cute and funny series. They're not exactly alike, but they do have their similarities and their differences, and that's what makes both of them so cool.

That's it for today!! Maybe tomorrow I'll post the Shinkenger vs Samurai blog. Happy day!! =)
Ps. I found the images in Google. They don't belong to me, they belong to someone else. =)

Let's GO-ON!! =)

Hey people!! I'm happy because I'm still on my break!! But Monday I go back to school, so I'll have to watch as much as I can!!
Ok, first fangirl business: Kamen Rider OOO. I've watched the first 10 episodes so far, and they're amazing!! I love Eiji, Ankh and Hina already. They make me laugh very much!! =) Although Eiji still looks weird walking with his underwear. =)
Also, I'm kinda disliking the man whose osbessed with cakes. He reminds me of my family, since they all have a knack for sweets, but making a cake because of a contract?? Seriously?? If he keeps on making cakes, everyone in the show will have sugar problems, and since Ankh's crazy about ice cream, well.... everyone will become hyperactive. Also the other guy who delivers Eiji all of his stuff. And the man with the doll on his shoulder really creeps me out.
Eiji likes Hina... I think. ;)

Second thing to fangirl for: Power Rangers RPM!! I never saw the complete series, so I have to survive with those clips on the Internet. Anyway, I was watching the discussion of the episodes Heroes Among Us and Not So Simple (these episodes caught my attention since the twins get separated) and I noticed several things: first, Scott has a lot of haters (at least in this episode) as well as Gem (I sincerely don't know why, he's one of my favorite characters). Everyone seems to think that Flynn and Gemma are a cute couple (which I actually think it's true) while Dillon and Summer only seemed to be written together because they 'look good' (and I think it's kind of cliche, I mean the bad guy with the cute girl) and that they think that Gem's reaction is cute when Gemma turns Flynn down. ( I actually don't remember that part)

I also realized that the same background song for Not So Simple (when Flynn and Gemma are building the zord) is a song that they play constantly in the radio of where I live. I went to school one day and recognized it. Only yesterday I discovered that the song's the same from that same scene.
Ok, last fangirl of the day: Super Sentai VS movies. They're actually very entertaining. Today, I saw Go-Onger vs Gekiranger and Shinkenger vs Go-Onger (as you can notice I like Go-Onger a lot) but I liked Shinkenger with Go-Onger best, although both of them were great. My favorite scene was when Ryunosuke was in Junk World and Saki and Hanto find him. I also liked the part when Chiaki, Kotoha, Gunpei and Renn were in jail, and they managed to get free, and when Chiaki saw Gunpei still crying he was like "What do we do with him?" and Renn was like "If we ignore him, he'll be fine" =D
Also, I liked when the Goseigers appeared out of nowhere. It was like 'Heck yeah, the Goseigers are in the house and we're gonna kick your butt!' or something like that. =)

That was all my fangirling for today. And maybe the entire week. I'm off to see the People's Choice Awards!!! Maybe Demi Lovato will win something like last year. (I said maybe, I still don't know who's nominated).
Peace and love people!! Let's GO-ON!!
Ps. speaking of Go-onger, I dreamed once that Sosuke, in the American dub was played by Joe Jonas, and that he went to my friends' wedding, that ultimately got canceled because she left him over his twin brother. Weird, huh? =)

Sunday, January 6, 2013

Happy Sunday!!

Hey people!! So today's Sunday!! And I'm in part happy because every person I know who's not in my school will start classes tomorrow, while I still have one more free week!! The problem's precisely that I'll get bored out of my mind, and since I don't know where the heck my friends are... oh well, now fangirling for today!!
Yesterday, or the day before that (I can't actually remember) I was watching some blogs about Super Sentai pairings, and then I discovered that every person in the planet pair the red with the pink even though they barely speak to each other!! I mean, seriously!! Ok, maybe that was an exageration, but it's true.
Also, I can't help but notice that if it's not pink, it's the replacement, like in Kakuranger. I mean, seriously, why pair Sasuke with Tsuruhime when they are like 12 years apart??!! I haven't seen Kakuranger, but that just seems wrong. (And the fact that the actors appeared like a couple in Goseiger doesn't prove anything)
Or in Go-onger, that Miu is not pink, but she would be if not the silver, and she likes Sosuke, who's the red ranger. (I talk about Sasuke, then about Sosuke, weird =P)
Also, fangirling about Gatchaman!! I really want to see the anime, but I don't know where. Today, I'll look for some pages. I was looking at Jefusion last night and I saw promos for the movie, and since I wanted to see the anime for quite a while I said to myself: 'why not look in YouTube?'. It turned out to be subbed in Korean. =/
Well, I think that's for now, or for today. I don't know. =) Bye bye, happy Sunday!!!
Ps. Kyoryuger's first promo: it was AWESOME!!!! =D
