Operation Overdrive vs.... the Last Song? =)

Hey people!! Welcome back!! Yeah, I know I haven't published anything, but you know: school, and global warming. =P So onto today's theme!!
Before that, I just want to say that I'm done with Kamen Rider OOO, and I loved it!! The end made me cry: when Ankh was happy to 'die' since it meant he was not just a pile of medals. =,)

So, onto today's theme: so after finishing OOO, I started to watch Gogo Sentai Boukenger, and as such, I started to look things related to Operation Overdrive, (I couldn't find so much, since apparently, people hate it so much to even look at it). Anyway, I found a fanvideo related to Will and Ronny next to another Will and Ronny video, but the latter being one from The Last Song!!

Will, Ronny and Tyzonn, but since I'm talking about Will and Ronny, ignore Tyzonn  for now =)

Actually, I realized this last May in a field trip with my class. A girl put The Last Song, and I was falling asleep (It was night, and I was tired, ok?) but I heard the names, and the first thing that came to my mind was Will and Ronny from Operation Overdrive!! I remembered one of the only episodes I watched, which was Ronny on Empty. =)

I watched very few episodes, so I don't know if Ronny and Will acutally got far, and after watching Boukenger's 14th episode (related to their conterparts, Natsuki and Masumi) I started to wonder about Will and Ronny and the origins to the novel and the movie. I even made a fanfic regarding the subject! =)
What I'm surprised about is that no one actually pointed it out. Are the fandoms so different, or did people just hate Operation Overdrive so much they don't even mention it? I have to see Operation Overdrive to see if it's really worth all the hate.
So that's it for today. Bye! Happy day!! =)

Fangirl scream for 99.9% of the Austin and Ally fandom: one of my fandoms that have nothing to do with Japan!!! c:
Ps, onto another fangirling, Austin and Ally kissed!! I knew it would eventually happen, though I didn't expect it would happen so soon. =/ Oh well... =)
Pps, I wasn't waiting for it to happen, like many of you do, but I was hoping it would someday, and I didn't fangirl when I saw it, mainly because I was in public. =P

Samurai vs Shinkenger =)

Hey people!! How's your day? I'm fine, and happy because the premiere of Power Rangers Megaforce is today, Although I won't be able to see it. :/ Anyway, this is the second blog in the Power Rangers vs Super Sentai series, and here it goes:
Note: I don't hate Samurai like 95% of the population does. I accept is like the translation of Shinkenger, and that the acting is not the best, but it has some originality, and you'll see why.

Characters:
Jayden vs Takeru Shiba
Both reds, both great leaders and with a 50% in difference when it comes to their pasts. Ok, not so much difference, but you'll see my point. Takeru initially didn't want a team, since he thought he was so much better  on his own, meanwhile Jayden didn't want to risk anyones' lives without a reason, so he didn't want a team, but in the end, both accepted their respectives teams. Also, if you notice, Takeru is much more arrogant than Jayden. Also there's the fact that for 17 years, Takeru acted as a kagemusha for a complete stranger (or maybe it wasn't a complete stranger, since he already knew about Kaoru) and Jayden knew for several years, that he was acting as a kagemusha (or whatever) to his own sister. I think this would be it for them.

Kevin vs Ryunosuke Ikenami
Both blues, and that's it. I can't think of anything else. Kevin's dream was being a swimmer, while Ryunosuke's was being a kabuki actor. Kevin is so serious, while Rynosuke is funny without even wanting to. Ryunosuke is totally dedicated to be a samurai, and although I know Kevin is too, I don't think that he'll go as far as Ryunosuke. Also, Ryunosuke didn't go with the others for Takeru, since he felt that he needed to be with Kaoru, as she was the Princess and he was a samurai, but Kevin didn't go because he wanted to help Lauren in case there was another Nighlock attack. Personally, I think that was just an excuse, but I guess I'll never know.

Mia vs Mako Shiraishi
Both pink, both the older sisters of the team, and with so many similarities that I could go crazy if I write them all. Both are bad cookers (although Mako quit it and Mia didn't), both worked on a nursey school before becoming Samurai, and so on. The only difference I can think of is about the episode where they introduce their pasts. Mako has her parents in Hawaii, while Mia has her brother Terry. And in the end when Mako goes to Hawaii to see her parents, while Mia goes to the culinary school, but that's it. Seriously, they just have so many similarities, and it'll take forever to write. So I think I'll just move on to Mike.

Mike vs Chiaki Tani
Both greens, both the rebels and the youngest (second youngest if you count the yellows) of the team. While both are creative and such, I think that Chiaki is an exaggeration of Mike, since I think that Mike is a bit more responsible than Chiaki. I don't know how to describe it, but I feel it's that way. Also, Mike's backstory wasn't shown, while Chiaki's was, and I start to think that Mike is the only Samurai Ranger whose past isn't revealed. I think that was in part because that Shinkenger episode had parts with Kamen Rider Decade and since they didn't have the rights they couldn't show it, but at least that's my opinion. Well, in general, Mike and Chiaki are pretty much the same, but I feel that Chiaki is more of a rebel than Mike.

Emily vs Kotoha Hanaori
Both yellows, both the innocent girls on the team, and several other things. I like both of them, but I think that Kotoha took a lot of episodes to finally value herself as a Shinkenger, and it was only because her sister Mitsuba sent her a letter. Meanwhile, Emily started to value herself on her own, with no Serena involved. Emily also becomes braver a little faster than Kotoha did. While some of you will say that Emily is annoying for putting herself down, I don't think so, because we all had put ourselves down at least once. And if that were the case, then Kotoha would be more annoying that Emily, since Kotoha really hates herself, while Emily just has some insecurities. Seriously, Power Rangers fans are hard to please, and I'm a fan, but in conclusion: both, Emily and Kotoha, are great, even if they have their flaws.

Antonio vs Genta Umemori
Both gold, both the best friends of the reds, and both fish sellers. Ok, Antonio's the fisher, Genta sells sushi, but it doesn't matter since they're both fish!! Anyway, both of them knew the reds (Takeru and Jayden) since they were little, and both returned to be samurais. Now, I didn't go to far in Shinkenger to exactly point out the differences between these two characters, so I'll just put it this way. I've read blogs, forums, comments and whatever, saying that Genta is better than Antonio for no reason. I know I'm not one to judge that, but my question is why?

Lauren vs Kaoru Shiba
Both the second reds, both the true leaders of the teams, and that's it. As far as I'm concerned, Lauren is one of the few (if not the only one) who has recieved the least hate, if any that is. This two girls are actually the reason I found out about Super Sentai in the first place, along with a video from the episode where Emily's soul gets eaten by a Nighlock. (I'll talk about that in another blog) Anyway, Kaoru is a princess, while Lauren is Jayden's older sister. Kaoru is a little closed up about what she feels and such, while Lauren is a little bit more open than Jayden. When Jayden left, Lauren was really sad, but when Takeru left, who knows if Kaoru was sad, disapointed, happy, or if she even cared at all? Now, see what I mean? But I do like that habit of Kaoru (of hitting Tanba with a fan)

Allies
The Mentor, Bulk, Skull and Spike vs Jii and the kuroko
In Samurai, the Mentor's cool (my opinion) but sometimes I feel like, either he's exaggerating, or has no emotion at all. As for Bulk, Skull and Spike, it was great to have them back, and note that this blog belongs to a girl who started to see the series when she was 8, yet she was born the same year Turbo was airing. Since I didn't go past Day of the Dumpster (copyright reasons) it was great to finally see Bulk, and even though I've read that he was a bully before, I couldn't care less, as long as he was there. As for Skull, it was awesome to see him in the last episode. As for the Jii in Shinkenger, he at least shows a little bit of emotion at times, and he kind of reminds me of Ryunosuke. As of the kuroko, they make me laugh. I don't know, I think there's just too random (in a good way)

Villains
Basically the same. I won't put the differences, since I have homework to do.

I would put the pairings, but I won't because of two reasons. One: I need to get my homework started, and I need to do it today!! And second, they're practically the same. Except for Lauren/Antonio (once again, my opinion) they're basically the same in color.

So yeah. Sorry if this wasn't as elaborated as the RPM blog, but I'll try my best on the next one. It will be Goseiger vs Megaforce. As soon as I find the episode, I'll write it. And sorry If I offended any fans out there, but it's my blog, so yeah, my opinion!! Bye, and happy Super Bowl, although I won't see it since I'm going to read the Mark of Athena the same way I read the Son of Neputne last year!!! =)

Ps. I finished Kamen Rider OOO, and it was awesome!! Next in my list: Gogo Sentai Boukenger (yes, I haven't seen it, problem?)
